Now that the excitement has passed, I fall back to thiking that the system works well enough as it is. Race relations should be tailor-made to individual races, rather than creating an abstract system for determining the values. MoMs greatest asset is its beautiful simplicity, after all. I think the Alpha Centauri model is far too complicated for this game. Plus, AC let the player change those values - I can't see that working well with MoM. I would like a more static system, like the one I used in my example. It is certainly possible to have more, or fewer, and completely different...

If the tags are made inclusive enough, we wouldn't have to make new ones, only assign the existing ones to new races. You mean attributes like "magical", "civilised", "mercantile", "militaristic", "religious" and so on? I'd love to work on something like that. I'm ass crap at doing the actual programming, though.

Thanks again for the feedback. I did not deliberately keep all races hostile to the Draconians, I based the numbers here on what I saw as the viewpoint of the new race, rather than that of the old ones, and I could not see any natural friends for the Draconians. Now we're talking! That dragon hero looks positively lethal! The other two are a bit dark, but I like the images. I love the fact that they don't look remotely human. Good work!

Hmm... A dragon hero would be cool... Maybe it would only join you if you were Draconian, and might look like a recolor of a Sky Drake or Great Drake. It would be flying and have, say, three movement points. It shouldn't be hard to find a cool dragon portrait to use for it, either.
