Single playing?

Post by Lord Budweiser »

Is it possible to single play MoM: IME?
And for multiplaying: do I have to set an IP at the client to find a host? Is there something else I have to do to play?

You can play single player - although you can only attack nodes, lairs and towers - you can't attack cities or units that are just wandering around.

Even single player, you need to create the game in the server program (with human players = 1) and then join the game from the client (specify 'localhost' as the IP address).

You can also play multiplayer, although since you can't attack each others units or cities, there isn't too much point other than to prove that it works. You can compete for who can take the most nodes I suppose ;)

Thanks for the response, but... how can I single play if I can't set the number of human players below 2?

You have to set the number of AI players to more then zero BEFORE it will let you reduce the number of human players down to 1 :)
