Help?

Me and my friend just downloaded the game and began playing. soon into the game we realized that a lot of unit features such as "large shield" and "luck" said not working, nor does it tell us if we are casting a spell, is there any way to tell or correct these issues?

Most stuff is "not working" simply because its not been written yet! Especially all the spells and unit special abilities.

Hit F3, or pick the Apprentice on the advisor (info) menu. Yes, I know F3 doesn't work like that in the original, I changed the spell book slightly on purpose.
